The Demel is the K.u.K. (Imperial and Royal) Court Confectionary Bakery – located at the ‘Kohlmarkt’ in Vienna’s first district – and it’s famous about its excellent and well-known Cakes and Pastries.
The Bakery is also well-known for the special dressed display windows, which show the art of the confectionary baker in a humorous way as you can see at today’s picture.

We visited Vienna’s ‘House of the ocean’ (= ‘Haus des Meeres’) today and took a shot of this ‘wild creature’! It’s Paul- the ‘Giant Morey’ ;)

Today we visit the well known ‘Würstelstand’ (= sausage stand) opposite Vienna’s opera house. It’s a traditional Austrian street food retail outlet selling all kind of hot sausages and side dishes. As special offer one can get here is a glass of champagne, which is very unusual for a ‘sausage stand’. After visiting the Opera people take a quick stop here to take a snack and it looks really funny to see a lot of serious dressed people eating sausages and drinking beer on the street :)

Today a look at the ‘Belvedere’ which is a historic building complex at Vienna’s third district. The Baroque palace complex was built as a summer residence for Prince Eugene of Savoy. Another nice gift from the Habsburg dynasty to Vienna ;)
